A Few Photos, Page 2

Thanks to Ed Benningfield

This picture shows some of the guys at Det 2 getting ready for a Barbecue, which is something we did as often as possible "if and when" we could scrounge some steak from the Marines. Shown in this picture are (left to right): MSgt Ed Owens, NCOIC Security Police TSgt Newman(I think), NCOIC Personnel MSgt Cid Allen, Det 2, 6994/DOA TSgt Sol Molotsky, First Sergeant and Backend Crew Member. Sol Molotsky was not only a good First Sergeant, but was also a "good cook."
The last picture (No. 7) and this one were taken in September 1970. This one is of the same barbecue, but with more people in the picture. Included (Left to Right) are: MSgt Ed Owens, SP MSgt Cid Allen, DOA TSgt Newman, DP MSgt Frank Brown, DOA TSgt Bill Clark, X1 Crew Member TSgt Sol Molotsky, First Sergeant and X1 Crew Member
This picture was taken during preflight. I can't remember what, but something was wrong with the aircraft, so we were waiting around while 362 TEWS people fixed it. Since it was "warm/hot" on the flight line at DaNang, the A/C gave us permission to "hang around" the outside of the aircraft. This picture was taken September 1970. I hate to admit it, but I not only cannot remember what was wrong with the aircraft, but the two guys here are Phil Pratt on the right and Charlie Martin on the left.
I apparently took this picture from the rear door of the aircraft we were on. The picture was taken July 1970 and shows some 362nd maintenance activity and people.
This picture was taken August 1970 and shows some more maintenance activity by 362 TEWS people. Obviously, in this as well as the last picture, it would have been nice if I had also captured the tail numbers of the aircraft involved. I did not realize at that time that someday, a tail number would really mean something. Oh well.
