Here is Proof that she flew. When she was in the Air over
San Antonio, there was no doubt what you were hearing.
She had a sound that was very distinctive, ask anyone.
The XC-99 was powered by 6 Pratt & Whitney 4360 engines mounted
in a pusher configuration, (the engines & propellers were mounted
in a pusher fashion) on the trailing edge of the wing.
