Battle Damage (3) and a Boo-Boo
Provided by: Al Budington
This damage was incured on aircraft 029 when it
was hit over Laos and managed to make it back to NKP.
Al says this occured in late 72 or early 73.
The Photos have a developed date of May 73.
This photo was sent by Lew Davis. Lew says it is the
wing tip removed from aircraft 029 after it was hit
by enemy ground fire. Was at NKP in 1973.

This is the Co-Pilot Bill Schless who was one of the
three Pilots aboard the NKP bird that got hit over
Bolivan's (spelling??) Plateau. All three stood shoulder
to shoulder inside the hole to have their picture taken.
This is a photo of tailnumber 882. Al says,
"I was aboard when the A/C pulled up the Landing Gear handle
instead of the Wing Flap handle during pre-flight. The ground
crew member had just removed the landing gear safety pins, and
the plane almost landed on top of him".
