More EC-47 Mission Photos

Brian Baker, son of Roy L. Baker writes,

Hi there, I love the site and it makes me want to cry for the immense feelings of proudness I feel toward all that flew these not so publicized missions. My father, Roy L. Baker, was one of the onboard maintenance crews and has information here on your site. I have a picture of my father that I see everyday and would like others on this site to see it as well. Its a picture of dad in front of his old EC-47 goonybird.

The Photo was taken in July 1969 Flying out of Saigon, Vietnam. The Plane name was the Marauder but known to the crew as "Balls 9" due to its seriel number ( or partial ) of 009 .

Dad flew 35 missions on this aircraft and had taken heavy flak ( If seen the 8 mm films he took ) on more then a few occasions. The plane never let them down. Dad was 29 years old at the time this photo was taken.

If you feel you can use this picture please post it with my best wishes and let me know where I might be able to see it.

Thank you so very very much for all that the EC-47 crews and personel have done for this site and our country.

Sincerly and proudly, Brian Baker
