Received from, Paul N. Leone.
Paul says he was assigned to the 460th Aviation Maintenance Squadron at Tan Son Nhut from December, 1967 to July, 1969. His primary duty station was Tan Son Nhut with TDY to NKP for 3 months. My group was responsible for electronics maintenance on the 360th EC-47's. I was on flying status and flew at least three times a week. We actually cleaned up one of of the buildings near the Antique Airlines Ops Center and put in a repair shop to service the planes closer to the flight line. I have a number of pictures, but they need to be scanned. I found this site by accident and have been enjoying it ever since.

Received from, Dennis Adolph, Riverside, California.
Dennis sayd he was assigned to Det. 1, 6994th Security Squadron at Nha Trang from February 1968 to February 1969 as a Radio Operator. I was part of the of the group that was TDY to TSN in 1964 from the 6988th at Yokota testing the EC-47 program. I believe it was called project Hawkeye. The backend was Security Service but the aircraft and front end crew belonged to the Air Commando's out of Florida (Hurlbert I believe). We had a single aircraft and would fly from Hue in the north to the delta in the south and over to Loas trying to see if this ARDF thing would work. We didn't fly orbits just straight lines to someplace and back. The project ended in Jul 64 and the aircraft returned to the States. I was later assigned to Det. 1 at Nha Trang from Feb68-Feb69. Received from, Jimmy D. Turk, Huber Heights, Ohio.
Jimmy left the following in the Guestbook on Feb. 26th 2004. Says he was an Instructor Navigator with the 361st Tactical Electronics Warfare Squadron at Nha Trang and Phu Cat from December 1968 until December 1969. Says he flew 179 Missions, 1000+ hours, and Being the junior Comm Officer as a passed over Capt, I had the "fun" of moving the Sq from Nha Trang to Phu Cat. Weekly flights to TSN for 460th & Comm Group support then "locating the gear" or having my last unit (Far East comm Rgn in Tokyo) ship it down and having it installed prior to the transition flights. All went well. I would not have passed up the experience for any other assignment I had in my short 20 yrs - 22 days AF time. Thanks to many of you from many career fields we all did a great job. As then LtGen David Jones told me "you guys provided 80% of all the intellegence gather in SEA". Not bad for the "Mach Bomber" or as the 361st was known as the "Mach Turtles" squadron. Never will forget the "game" of who's Squadron plaque hung where in the Club at Nha Trang. Thanks for a great site - keep up the good work. Jimmy's Email Address is: [email protected] Jimmy's Postal Address is: 8697 Deer Hollow Drive Huber Heights, Ohio 4424?-1258
