I was looking at the website; my son put me on to it and it brought back a lot of memories. I remember Lt Stanly Gramola and Lt Harmond both were pilots and aircraft commanders and flew must of the time with them.

Anyway I want to tell you this story about Stanly. He always let me set the power after take off after I turn my gen sw that I controlled. I had a bad hang over, Stanly said, pilot to engineer the props are out of sink. Well we had that desk behind the pilot and I was drinking coffee. The cup was going around in a circle and shaking all over the place. I told Stanly 'watch this', I grabbed the prop levers and moved them around until that cup of coffee stopped moving in a circle and told Stanly I don't care how they sound when the cup stops moving those props are in sink. A few days later the squadron commander saw me and asked, 'what are you doing to my young Lt. telling him to use a cup of coffee to sink the props'? Believe me it might of been a joke at the time but it worked.
