John said he was going through some old papers and found a postcard he had received last year for reunion 2000. Says he was stationed at Danang with the 6994th Security Squadron as a 203 Voice Inetercept Operator, Vietnamese Linguist in 1970-1971.

Bob writes, I was a 1stLt and assigned to the 360th Tactical Electronics Warfare Squadron at Tan Son Nhut as an Instructor Pilot from April 1970 to June 1971. I was a 1Lt but some many years later I retired as a full colonel. I met a couple of Lt Col navigators in 360TEWS much later on at the Pentagon and both were then Lt Gens (Winton Powers and Carl Smith). Win retired as Director of DCA; Carl retired as AF/CVA (he's now director of the Armed Forces Benefit Board, I think. Interesting how combat buddies do good work elsewhere too. Bob Johnston

I Arrived at Phu Cat just days after the squadron moved up from Nha Trang. Flew 134 missions Upgraded to IP. Worked in the squadron operations center as a controller,and played in a country and western band. Came back to SEA in Tankers twice.

I was there December, 1971 to April, 72 with the 360th TEWS. Due to a medical problem I was medivac'd out of Nam early, which was OK with me as I had seen enough of SE Asia and had a little baby boy who was born about 6 months prior to going over. I saw duty at Lackland, Chanute, March, Anderson, Patrick, TSN, and several TDY sites during my 5 1/2 years of service. Currently my son Robert is a SSGT stationed at Kirtland AFB in Albquerque NM. He is a weather forcaster and has been in a little over 8 years. Nice Site, glad to see the updates and information, Thanks.

Folks, Stan has been with the EC-47 group for a long time. I had never entered him in the EC-47 Crewmembers listing. Stan was a Captain and served as Maintenance Officer with the 362nd Tactical Electronics Warfare Squadron from January 1970 to January 1971. Stan retired as a Colonel.
