DaNang Photos

A nice set of photos of DaNang

Thanks to Ed Benningfield

Picture taken August 1970. This was the NCO Barracks (E-6 and above). A mixture of crew members and ground support personnel resided in this barracks.
Picture taken August 1970. These three barracks were home to the great majority of the Det 2 crew members. I believe the one closest in the picture also housed all the ground support personnel (maintenance, security police, etc.).
Picture taken August 1970. The large building in the picture was where a lot of guys gathered at days end to play cards. I don't know what this building was intended for, but it became our "mini casino." Freedom Hill is in the background. This is where the Army (or Marines?) ran a super large PX and Commissary. We all bought a lot of cases of "Beanie Weenies" (room survival food) from Freedom Hill.
