There is a conflict here, J.C. Does anyone know if this aircraft was repaired ang
placed back in service, or is the 1973 date incorrect? This aircraft was at least damaged in a Takeoff mishap on November 10, 1971; see Official Incident Report. It is very possible that this aircraft was repaired and returned to service. This seems logical since there in no loss of aircraft specifically described in the incident report. J.C. |

There is some controversy surrounding "102". I have posted several photos of this aircraft "102" or I should say the remains of it, in a revetment and it was definitely destroyed whether by rocket attack or other cause, but the tail number "102" is clearly visible on one of the photos. These photos place the attack at DaNang and not Pleiku. |
