The last flight of the EC-47Q, tail number 43-15204 of the 361st Tactical Electronics Warfare
Squadron, heralds the end of an era as it prepares for landing at Ubon RTAFB, Thailand, on
May 15th, 1974. This was the final U.S. Air Force combat mission for the "Grand Old Lady of
the Sky," the C-47, known in this configuration as "The Electric Goon." EC-47s flew long and
often unsung electronic intelligence and ARDF missions with the 360th, 361st, and 362nd Tactical
Electronics Warfare Squadrons and with the 6994th Security Squadron from April 15th, 1966, to May 15th, 1974.
