Can anyone identify and/or provide any
information on this Aircraft, Danang 1972?

Hello, My name's John and I came across your site while looking for pictures of DaNang AFB. Thought you might like these that I took when I was TDY there in 1972. My assignment was with the 1st SOS as a mechanic on the A1 skyraider. Call name Sandy Alert. We had a hooch across the runway from the F-4's next to the Jolly Green Helo's hanger. We sat on alert together during daylight operations. (SAR)

I have been trying to find the identity of this aircraft for my records. As I recall, the aircraft was resting on the ramp outside of the revetment walls. It was abandoned. There wasn't anyone around, no aircraft, no support equiptment. Looked like the squadron had pulled out.

If you have a tail number for this guy, I sure would like to know it. Hoping to hear from you.

Thanks John
