Our Reunion Planning Schedule (The EC-47 Association), Will Not specifically include any of the functions of the FTVA Reunion with exception of the Rededication Ceremonies of the EC-47 Memorial Aircraft located on Security Hill. This memorializes the first EC-47 Loss, that of Tide-86 with her full crew on March 9th, 1967.
This reunion registration will be a little different from those previous as I am working with a lady who for 8 years has been trying to get to do our reunion co-ordination. This lady herself is the daughter of a Military Career man and she works throughout the U.S. & Europe planning and organizing Military Reunions and has a very good rating. I should have the information on how/when to start registration very soon and will post it here on this page as soon as possible.

Notice June 3rd, 2008
Due to an error of the DoubleTree in Double Booking, the room for our Banquet
Dinner, certain negotiations and concessions were made and the Banquet Dinner will be
held at an off-site location, with the Double Tree hotel picking up all the added cost and expenses incurred with this change including site rental costs and provide the Charter busses for transportation to and from for the group, about a 5 minute trip. The hotel has also agreed to provide 2 bottles of the house wine for each table and will provide a pay-as-you-go bar at the dinner site, no cost for the service. For those who would like to view these new accommodations, click here: HERE
I sincerely hope this will not discourage anyone from attending this reunion. This error was found to late to select a new site within reason as a number of folks have already made all their registrations and room registrations. All I can do is make my apologies for an error beyond our control.
See you in San Antonio in September, J.C.

Our Speaker for the evening will be Colonel John Griffith. Colonel Griffith was the Squadron Commander of the 360th TEWS and was the Aircraft Commander of the Last U.S. Air Force EC-47 Mission flown out of Tan Son Nhut with Lt. Colonel Dave Eddy as his Co-Pilot. I think everyone will enjoy what he as to tell us, see you there.
( I Do not know the names of the other crewmembers on that flight. )

Help tell the EC-47 Story.
Information from Danny Russell; Chuck Lemon, son of one of ours, Navigator Carl Lemon aboard the Shoot-Down of Cap-53 on April 22, 1970 is working to produce a movie about the EC-47 and the shoot-down of his fathers aircraft. Chuck is planning on being with us at the reunion and Danny says he, Chuck, plans to shot a lot of footage doing interviews etc. for inclusion in this film. Also, one of the men who participated in the rescue of the Crew of Cap-53, a Mr. Larry Allen plans on joining us for this reunion. Larry was with the 101st Airborne and is the gentleman who provided me with the minute by minute log of this rescue of Cap-53's Crew. This should prove to be very interesting.
