Just a Few Photos
Yours truly at Mena Hamfest, September 12, 1998.
My wife, Betty and our daughter Kathie in 1958 with our ( Early) 1949 Chrysler
New Yorker. This car was actually bought from a salvage yard as it looks here.
I drove it 33,000 miles the first year I owned it. Paid $100 for it.
This Photo made on the dam at Lake Medina, NW of San Antonio, Texas.
A 1929 Hudson, bought in 65 for $325. A new battery, brushes in the starter,
5 gallons of gasoline and she was ready for a 1965 Texas State Inspection
Sticker and Tags. Later replaced the straight 8 with a modified 308
Hudson Hornet bored to 318 CID, automatic transmittion, power steering and
brakes. Would actually run off and hide from my dads 1969 Ford Ranger Pickup.
This beautiful, 1950 Cadilac Coupe belonged to my father, but when I was
around, I laid claim to it. The 1954 Ford was built for me, by my
uncle with a warmed up 292 Y block and was taken to Lajes in the Azores in
1960 and later brought back home.
These Two precious little Poodles brought several years of happiness to my
wife and I and last year, just about a month and a half apart, brought us much
sorrow as we lost the battle to save both. They are burried in the front yard
in handmade coffins and lying on Pearl colored silk covered pillows, and are
covered with a Gold satin spread. Complete with gravestones. Cupid the little
white female weighed about 6 pounds and Rambo the little male weighed 4 pounds.
We are still blessed with the third, Bobo a white male about 12 pounds.
