My father, Lt. Raymond F. Bye, pilot of the B-17 bomber "Dottie J III" which crash landed October 14, 1943 in the vicinity of St. Mihiel, France was one of the three crew members you are looking for. I do not know the whereabouts of the other two crew members you mentioned, although all did eventually return to England safely. My dad died in 1994. I have been trying to get information about his experiences with the Resistance between Oct. 14, 1943 and Dec. 27, 1943 when he returned to England. I would be grateful for any details, and would be thrilled to be able to contact anyone who was involved in his escape.
