The 94th Cougar

This is the painting of the "Cougar" that hung in the office of the Commander,
6994th Security Squadorn at Tan Son Nhut AB in Saigon, SVN im May of 1972.
The Commander's desk was on the opposite side of the room. Col. Grover McMakin
said, "I could look up and see the Cougar. Used this area for Awards/Dec & Re-Ups".
Lt. Col. Grover McMakin Commander July 1971-May 1972

In a letter from Grover, he writes, I have seen (in the past) some queries on the
6994th Security Squadron "Cougar" painting and no one has come up with an answer.
About 2 weeks ago, CMSgt Richard J. Burda (Retired) sent me a 35mm slide of the
Cougar in the Commander's Office when we were in Saigon. This is that Photo/Slide.

The Photo above was provided by Stanley Long. Stan said in his email, that the fellow
with the camera is Harvey Goldstein. Bill McCartha is in the flight suit. Says he can
not remember the other two gentlemen.
